The Obama White House made a splash Tuesday when it asked its liberal supporters to report what their conservative friends were saying about health care reform.
In a blog post peppered with Orwellian language, White House blogger Macon Phillips warned that “disinformation” about the Democrats’ health care proposals was widespread. If you hear about anything “fishy” — whether you hear about it in “a casual conversation” or “via email chains” — Phillips wrote, “send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
To us, the whole idea of reporting private conversations sounds “fishy,” and un-American. That’s why it’s time for Americans to take action.
How can you help?
By flooding the flag@whitehouse.gov email account with so many emails that the whole flagging project breaks down.
What should you write in your email?
That’s simple: follow their directions. The White House and Congressional Democrats have circulated plenty of “disinformation” in recent weeks — from claims that under ObamaCare Americans will be able to keep their existing health insurance plans, to claims that the “public option” will increase “competition” in the health insurance market and that the Democrats’ plans would be deficit neutral. Of course, those are just three examples. Please report other examples of Democratic “disinformation” to the White House as well. After all, Obama needs your help!
